The term Father is one of the most commonly used terms in our prayers, and rightly so because that’s how Jesus taught us to pray. But as common as that term is to us, it was very uncommon to the people of Christ’s day.
Back then, most individuals who worshiped false gods saw them as distant, unpredictable, and immoral beings to be feared. Even the Jewish people, who were supposed to understand God’s paternity, had distanced themselves from His Fatherly care via sin and apostasy. As a result, He appeared distant to them. Even those who claimed God as their Father were chastised by Christ, who referred to them as “children of the devil” because they rejected the Son (John 8:44).
Christ’s teaching was revolutionary against this context. He described God as a kind and gracious Father who longs for close communion with His children. That fellowship is only possible through faith in the Son.
Aside from that, everything Jesus said and did demonstrated the Father’s character. When Philip requested that Jesus show him the Father, Jesus replied, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? Whoever has seen Me has also seen the Father ” (John 14:9).
Jesus also described God as a Parent who possesses all the wealth of heaven and makes them available to His children in order for them to praise Him: “Before you ask, your Father knows what you need… Do not be concerned, but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all [you require] will be added to you ” (Matt. 6:8, 31, 33).
God is your Heavenly Father because of your faith in Christ. He loves you, hears your petitions, and meets your needs from His vast resources. Turn to Him now and live your life as a grateful, obedient kid.
Praise God for being a gracious and loving Father.
Thank Him for the numerous bounties He bestows on you.

The Great Tribulation
It is our belief that the Great Tribulation referred to in the New Testament Book of Revelation (chapters 6-11) is unfolding before our eyes. In the near future, we will devote the “Tribulation” tab on our “Trending” menu to this emerging reality. As people continue to unplug from mainstream media, our commitment is to present the truth and encourage our audience to understand current events from a Biblical perspective. In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, “But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.” Click here to begin the journey.
