Many people in the northeast were left rattled after a 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck in New Jersey Friday morning.
No injuries or major damages have been reported as of yet, although those nearer the epicenter of the quake reported hearing what sounded like a large crash or explosion.
Videos have been shared on social media, as some people were able to capture the moment the earthquake struck. Most of that footage has only shown minor shaking.
However, one video captured by a ring security camera inside a home is more alarming.
The camera inside the home captures the moment from two different angles. A dog is seen lying in a window, and jumps up at the first sound. Then a massive crash is heard, that sounds like a semi truck hit the house.
“Holy sh*t! What the f**k happened?!” a terrified man yells.
RAWSALERTS posted the video on X, and wrote:
Watch new footage captured on a ring security camera showing the moment when a strong magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck northern parts of New Jersey. The footage was taken 15 miles from the epicenter where it occurred.
Millions of people reported feeling the shaking from Washington DC to Boston, with medium to heavy shaking felt in New Jersey, parts of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New York City extending into Long Island. The earthquake prompted the FAA to issue ground stops at New Jersey and New York airports for a short time. No injuries have been reported.
