America’s chief geopolitical rival is China.
The Chinese Communist Party has been undermining America for years through various means.
And now Senator Josh Hawley just exposed a CCP psy-op move that could turn into a major problem for the United States.
The popular smartphone app TikTok has become a pox on American culture.
The app, which is backed by Chinese Communist Party-controlled company ByteDance, promotes all sorts of degeneracy on Americans, particularly impressionable kids.
A Wall Street Journal investigation proved that a 13-year-old on TikTok gets inundated with automatic recommendations for videos promoting promiscuous sex and drug use.
However, on the Chinese version of the app, educational videos are promoted to young people.
In addition to the cultural rot fueled by TikTok, there have been security concerns because the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) purportedly has backdoor access to U.S. users’ information.
Lawmakers in several western countries have already moved to ban TikTok from government phones.
But TikTok is attempting to remain entrenched in America by divesting from parent company ByteDance.
The Chinese company ByteDance was recently valued at $220 billion, and TikTok alone could be worth $40 to 50 billion.
Spokeswoman says ban would be futile
TikTok downplayed any concerns about the company’s ties to ByteDance.
Spokeswoman Brooke Oberwetter said, “Neither a ban of TikTok nor a divestiture of TikTok from ByteDance does anything to address national security concerns about data transfers…[American TikTok users] would be held to a significantly higher security standard than any comparable American company.”
However, Senator Josh Hawley brought forward testimony from a TikTok whistleblower who revealed, “I have seen first-hand China-based engineers flipping over to non-China datasets and creating scheduled tasks to backup, aggregate, and analyze data…TikTok and ByteDance are functionally the same company. They use the same data analysis tools and chat apps, and managers are in constant contact.”
Whistleblower alleges data toggles
According to the whistleblower, TikTok engineers are allowed to “insert software backdoors” and toggle between Chinese and American data with “nothing more than the click of a button.”
In addition to the security concerns, there’s still the problem of TikTok promoting nonsense to American kids.
One study showed that TikTok videos were causing teenagers to develop Tourette-like ticks as a result of the content.
Much of the transgender craze that’s rampaging through the United States is fueled by viral videos on the site.
The CCP is all too eager to continue piping in filth to American teens while promoting productive videos to Chinese kids.
