The Republican National Committee (Republican National Committee) has initiated a process of reducing senior management positions, according to sources familiar with the matter. This move comes after the newly appointed Trump-endorsed leadership team assumed control of the committee. The staff cuts primarily target senior management positions on the fourth floor and are not expected to disrupt the committee’s communication efforts in holding President Joe Biden accountable, as per sources cited by Breitbart News.
Politico reported that over 60 staffers, including five senior staff members, will either be let go or asked to resign. The identities of these individuals have not been disclosed. Furthermore, the new leadership team has also started to cut down on vendor contracts, addressing concerns over financial mismanagement that had arisen during Ronna McDaniel’s tenure, including allegations of unethical behavior by certain high-ranking Republican National Committee aides.
Politico reported:
“In a letter to some political and data staff, Sean Cairncross, the Republican National Committee’s new chief operating officer, said that the new committee leadership was “in the process of evaluating the organization and staff to ensure the building is aligned” with its vision. “During this process, certain staff are being asked to resign and reapply for a position on the team.” The overhaul is aimed at cutting, what one of the people described as, “bureaucracy” at the Republican National Committee. But the move also underscores the swiftness with which Trump’s operation is moving to take over the Republican Party’s operations after the former president all but clinched the party’s presidential nomination last week.”
The organization came under the control of the committee’s newly appointed leadership last week. In February, McDaniel bid an emotional farewell to the staff members.
