A recent report from TVNewser has revealed that Fox News has continued to dominate the competition with other liberal media networks like CNN and MSNBC.
Giving a particular boost is Tucker Carlson, who recently aired exclusive footage of the January 6th Capitol Riot. Meanwhile, Fox comedian Greg Gutfeld is carrying late night with over two million regular viewers a night while other late-night hosts like Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert can’t keep up.
Due to this success, the week of March 6th saw Fox’s 101st straight week of being the most-watched network in the key demographic of 25 to 54 with 2,237,000 viewers, according to the report.
The report went on to explain that Fox has averaged 172,000 adults in total day views in the key demographic with a primetime showing of 274,000 spectators.
Thanks to Tucker’s coverage, he saw tremendous success marking his most viewed week since the 2022 midterm elections bringing Fox’s primetime ratings up by seven percentage points from the previous week.
While Fox has remained successful, MSNBC, which consistently ranks third in ratings, has fallen with it shedding four percent of its primetime viewers for the week.
Making matters worse for the left-leaning network, it has seen an 11 percent decrease year-over-year in overall primetime viewers and a staggering 34 percent decrease in overall total day viewers.
Meanwhile, CNN had a far worse showing. They have had excruciating failure after excruciating failure leading them to fall to number 17 in total primetime viewers with only 442,000 average viewers.Â
In the key demographic CNN fell six spots to number 33 getting only 95,000 average viewers a night, the same as The Paramount Network.
For total day views, the struggling network only averaged 81,000 viewers which is the same as Nickelodeon and the Hallmark Channel.
MSNBC and particularly CNN are being devastated in the rating department by Fox. Fox’s exclusive content has proven to be instrumental in their success and Gutfeld’s ability to spread comedy rather than wokeness seems to be paying off.
