The House Oversight Committee Chairman, James Comer, has disclosed that the Treasury Department has granted members access to suspicious activity reports covering transactions relating to President Biden and his family.
The documents include a $3 million wire payment from a now-defunct Chinese energy firm to John Robinson Walker, a former federal official and associate of Hunter Biden, which was sent just two months after Joe Biden left the office of the vice president in 2017.
The committee is investigating whether Joe Biden was compromised in any way.

Comer has also announced that the Committee has issued a subpoena to Bank of America, demanding fourteen years of bank records for three of Hunter’s associates, including Walker.
He has criticized the Treasury Department for attempting to “stonewall” the investigation after they failed twice to respond to his demands for the documents.
Comer emphasized that the payment from the Chinese firm to Walker lacked any identifiable business purposes, leading him to suspect that it was part of an influence-peddling scheme. He has vowed to follow the money trail to determine the extent of the Biden family’s business schemes, whether Joe Biden is compromised by these deals, and if there is a national security threat.
Comer has attempted to draw media attention to the investigation of the Biden family, rather than just Hunter. He stated that three different Biden family members received a cut from the $3 million payment, including a new Biden family member that has not previously been investigated.
The investigation will continue to use bank documents and suspicious activity reports to uncover the truth.
The New York City gallery owner, who displayed Hunter’s paintings, has pushed back against attempts to hand over documents. The investigation is ongoing, and Comer plans to expand the scope to include more family members
