House Oversight and Accountability watchdog James Comer is lurching after John Kerry. The special climate czar has been accused of “secretive negotiations” with his Chinese counterparts. That’s not surprising, considering he’s the guy responsible for packing those “pallets of cash” for Iran.
Kerry under investigation
John Kerry got a nasty letter from House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer, on Thursday, informing him that the committee “has opened an investigation.” The first thing they want to know is what he’s actually doing.
Nobody understands his “role” in palace intrigue. Comer and his committee particularly want to find out about “his high-level climate negotiations with the Chinese Communist Party.”
Until now, since Democrats held the majority, the former senator and secretary of state thumbed his nose at oversight requests.

“To date, Kerry has ignored information and document requests from Comer and other committee Republicans sent when they were in the minority,” Fox News reports. Comer reminded him of that in his letter.
“To date, you have failed to respond to any of our requests. Yet, you continue to engage in activities that could undermine our economic health, skirt congressional authority, and threaten foreign policy under the guise of climate advocacy.”
They have control of the House now and reminded Kerry that they’re serious about oversight and accountability. “The Committee requests documents and information to understand your role and provide necessary transparency over the SPEC and its activities.”
Should be ashamed
John Kerry should be ashamed of himself, Comer implies. As a member of Joe Biden’s cabinet, “you should be representing the United States’ interests.” That would be a new one for him, most conservatives say.
“Your statements, however, consistently show disregard for American national security and taxpayer dollars.”
Biden created the climate czar job out of thin air. The part Kerry likes best is that it “didn’t require Senate approval.”
John Kerry’s private jet emits more carbon in a single flight than your car in your entire lifetime.
His response: “It’s the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win the climate change battle.”

He took charge of whatever it is that he thinks he does in early 2021 and, since then, has spent $13.9 million a year doing it, with 45 personnel in the office. There are other perks to the job.
Kerry’s self-created position gets him a spot on the National Security Council. That let’s him wander around loose anywhere on the planet. Mostly, he likes to socialize at taxpayer expense.
“Since taking on the role, he has traveled worldwide, attending high-profile climate summits and diplomatic engagements in an effort to push a global transition from fossil fuels to green energy alternatives.” It isn’t working one bit but that won’t stop John Kerry from spending another $14 million again, this year, trying.
