1. GOP senator eyes legislation to defund ‘propagandist’ NPR after suspension of whistleblower:
Fox News – Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., is planning to propose new legislative action that would threaten to cut National Public Radio’s (NPR) federal funding if passed, prompted by the news that it suspended an editor who went viral for exposing the outlet’s partisan uniformity in its newsroom.
The Tennessee Republican is weighing a variety of legislative options to take on federal funding that goes to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which provides funding to NPR in the form of grants. She is specifically looking to prevent NPR from benefiting from public funds, due to what her office characterized as left-wing bias.
“The mainstream media has become obsessed with doing the Left’s bidding and taking down strong conservatives — and NPR has led the pack,” Blackburn said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “It makes no sense that the American people are forced to fund a propagandist left-wing outlet that refuses to represent the voices of half the country. NPR should not receive our tax dollars’.”
Denny’s Insight: NPR should be defunded; they serve no real journalism purpose, considering their blatant bias.
2. In surprise, Biden faces real threat from Trump with Hispanic voters:
The Hill – When President Biden visited a Mexican restaurant in Phoenix, Ariz., last month, he begged the crowd for their support in his bid for reelection.
“I need you badly,” Biden told the restaurant’s patrons. “I need the help. You’re the reason why, in large part, I beat Donald Trump.”
The reason behind the president’s solicitation was simple: Biden’s support among Hispanics — particularly young Latino men — is lukewarm. And in some cases, polls show he is losing support among the key Democratic voting bloc. At the same time, Trump appears to be gaining support from Hispanics.

Denny’s Insight: This shouldn’t come as a surprise. Hispanic Americans don’t care that the illegals coming over are Hispanic or Latino. They care about the preservation of the country and LEGAL immigration system. Democrats try to equate the race-baiting political nature of the border crossings to actual Americans; it won’t fly for long.
3. Trump Greeted with Cheers at Harlem Bodega Where Clerk Defended Himself Against Violent Customer:
Breitbart – Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday after day two of his hush-money trial visited the Harlem bodega where store clerk Jose Alba, 61, defended himself after being attacked by a violent customer in July 2022.
Alba was arrested and charged with second-degree murder after he stabbed the customer, Austin Simon, 35. Before that, Simon was captured on video going behind the counter and attacking him. The charges were later dropped, and Alba is suing the city.
Trump was greeted by a crowd chanting, “Four more years!” in the Democrat stronghold of Manhattan.

Denny’s Insight: The love for Trump continues to be unmatched, even in a place like NYC.
4. Majority of US couples do not have an estate plan, study finds:
Fox Business – American investors in committed relationships overwhelmingly say they trust their partners and share the same retirement goals, but most have not put an estate plan in place, new data suggests.
Ameriprise Financial’s “Couples, Money & Retirement” report released Wednesday found 95% of couples agree they are honest and transparent with one another when it comes to their finances, and 91% said they share the same financial values. But many have not reached a consensus on a number of emotionally-charged decisions about money.
The survey, which polled more than 1,500 American couples with $100,000 or more in investable assets, focused primarily on those between the ages of 45-70 who have retired within the last decade or plan to do so in the next 10 years.
While it found that 93% of couples share similar goals for retirement and agree on when to retire, 24% of respondents said they have not come to an agreement on how much money they will need to save or how much they should spend on children and grandchildren, both today and as part of their estates.
Denny’s Question: What are your thoughts on this concerning retirement study?
