KENNETT, Mo – A school nurse in Missouri has been charged with engaging in a sexual relationship with a student.
Candice Johnson, 26, was arrested on Wednesday after the Kennett Police Department received information about her involvement with a 15-year-old student at Kennett High School, where she worked as a nurse.
The student reported that the relationship started in October 2022 and involved 12 sexual encounters and the exchange of explicit photos, with some of them occurring in Johnson’s office.
The student reportedly did not confess to the relationship when questioned by school administrators because he said he didn’t want Johnson to “get in trouble,” but the student’s mother informed the police that Johnson and the student spoke about having a future together.
Johnson faces charges of second-degree statutory rape and sexual contact with a student.
