The Russian government has opened an official criminal case into terror financing inside the Russian Federation by Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma, the company of which Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, had a board seat for some time.
The Interfax Release is below:
Moscow. April 9. INTERFAX.RU – The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (ICR) opened a criminal case on the financing of terrorism in connection with the flow of millions of dollars into Ukraine for terrorist attacks in Russia, the department said on Tuesday.
“A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (financing of terrorism),” the TFR telegram channel says.
The Investigative Committee noted that the case was opened based on the results of an audit carried out following a request from a group of State Duma deputies and other persons “about the financing of terrorist activities by senior officials of the United States and NATO countries.”
“It has been established that funds received through commercial organizations, in particular, the oil and gas company Burisma Holding, operating in Ukraine, have been used in recent years to carry out terrorist acts in the Russian Federation, as well as abroad in order to eliminate prominent political and public figures and causing economic damage,” the department added.
