A video of a concerned mom named Alicia in southeastern Kentucky is going viral on social media.
In the 4-minute video, originally posted on TikTok, Alicia explained that in her area, programs are offered for children who don’t have access to healthcare or dental work.
She said the school sent a consent form home notifying her that a dental clinic bus was coming to the school and her children, both in first grade, could receive a free dental cleaning, which she was fine with.
After the “free cleaning,” she was then sent a letter saying both her children have “abnormalities” with their teeth, and she needed to sign another consent form and provide her insurance information, so they could do additional work on her children’s teeth, which would require them to miss school and receive anesthesia. However, Alicia was told she would not be allowed to be present.
Furious, she said her children go to the dentist regularly and have had no problems with their teeth, except that they’re currently losing their baby teeth. She then took them to their regular dentist, who said nothing is wrong with her children’s teeth.
Now it gets worse… the school dentist called her to say they went ahead and scheduled procedures for both her children, since she had already signed the first consent form for the cleaning, and again asked for her insurance information.
Alicia then received a threatening letter from the school.

Alicia later posted an update, saying she is still battling with the school over the dental scam, and the school is refusing to give her the name of their dentist or the facility they’re associated with.
Instead, the school is threatening her, accusing her of not being concerned about the health and safety of her children, and is demanding a private meeting with her.
The school is refusing to provide any records proving her children need dental surgery, and yet Alicia says, “Because I’m refusing to sign it, now I’m the one who’s being investigated as to why I won’t allow my children to be put to sleep without me present, nor will they give me the name of the dentist or the facility.”
It get worse yet… Alicia said she called her insurance company, who told her there is a “pending approval” request on file to have her children be put under anesthesia for dental surgery.
Alicia said she called an attorney, who told her they can’t do anything without all the records showing the names of the school dentist and their facility, along with the records they have on her children.

The videos were shared on X/Twitter by Sarah Fields, president of Texas Freedom Coalition, a Republican State Delegate and Precinct Chair.
Fields announced Tuesday that she has connected Alicia with her state representative, Josh Calloway (R), to get her some help.
“I have made contact with Alicia! She is being connected with Representative Josh Calloway (@CallowayforKY) and we are going to advocate for her to make sure the school and the “dentist” program they are using get their hands off her children,” Fields wrote.
