Several months ago, I had suggested that Jill Biden was one of the more powerful voices in the White House right now.
If she is not the main shot-caller, she is clearly someone who is influencing policy in this administration.
A recent report just backed that up in regard to Joe Biden’s change of heart regarding Israel.
Stop It
A story broke in the New York Times this week that suggested Jill Biden is the voice behind Biden’s calling out Israel.
We have seen numerous protests against Biden on this front, enough that it has Democrats worried that it could cost Joe Biden the election.
The Times reported, “Mr. Biden replied that he understood. The first lady, he said, had been urging him to ‘Stop it, stop it now,’ according to an attendee who heard his remarks.”
Salima Suswell, the founder of the Black Muslim Leadership Council, is the “source” cited in the story.
The story emerged after Joe Biden held an event at the White House during Ramadan, which included local Muslim leaders and Muslim White House staffers.
The Biden campaign is growing increasingly concerned that if this war continues into the election, it will cost Joe Biden a serious chunk of votes.
We have seen these voter protests in the primary races. While they obviously did not prevent Joe from getting the nod in the Democrat Party, these percentages, if they hold true, could cost Biden the general election against Donald Trump.
In Wisconsin, there was a total of 11.5% that voted “uninstructed” or for Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), who has already dropped out of the race.
In Connecticut, there were 11.5% uncommitted votes and in Rhode Island, there were 14.9%.
If we go back and look at the 2020 numbers, Biden won Wisconsin by 0.6%, so this would clearly be enough to flip the state for Trump.
Biden also saw protest votes in Michigan (13.2%) and Minnesota (19%), states he won in 2020 by 2.8% and 7.1%, so these numbers are clearly enough to impact Biden winning blue strongholds as well as battleground states.
Jill has been far more present on the campaign trail as well as doing media, insisting that Joe Biden is not losing the battleground states, even though most recent polling has Biden behind (only one recent poll has Biden ahead in PA, but that poll appears to be an outlier based on four previous polls).
If Trump does manage to win this election, I look forward to hearing the Democrats whine about foreign interference because you know it’s coming after what we saw post-2016.
