Following the brutal attack on a 57-year-old White woman riding a bus in Queens earlier this month, two Black teenage girls were arrested and charged with hate crimes.
According to an NYPD spokesperson, the incident occurred on July 9 around 6:50 p.m. on a MTA bus in Queens, where the girls got into a “verbal dispute.” WCBS-TV reported that one of the girls had yelled “I hate White people. I hate the way they talk.”
The NYPD Hate Crimes division shared on Twitter “Thanks to a tip, Detectives followed up and arrested 2 juveniles regarding this anti-white assault that occurred on the Q53 bus on July 9th. There is 1 outstanding perpetrator.”
The two girls, aged 15 and 16, were arrested and charged with assault and aggravated harassment as a hate crime for hitting the woman in the head, causing a laceration and bleeding.
According to a tweet from the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force, while the girls names have remained hidden due to their age, they were identified and reported by a tipster from a photo that was publicly released.
A third girl who also participated in the attack is still been sought by police.
Jill LeCroix, victim of the assault, has three bi-racial children and is a grandmother of five.

‘The Gateway Pundit’ provided more details on the incident:
After the assault, the girls ran off and Lecroix was hospitalized, needing three staples on her head.
The NYPD said that the girls were making “anti-White statements” white they carried out the attack.
One of the attackers was saying that she “hates White people, the way they talk” and accused the victim of supporting former President Donald Trump.
“Before they hit me, the girl with the green hair said, ‘You probably like Trump! Don’t you?’ LeCroix said in an interview. “I said, ‘I love him.’ I didn’t see which one hit me first.”
Lecroix continued, “the one with the green hair, she was saying she hates White people, the way they talk, hates White skin, the way their skin cracks. Saying she was gangsta,” the woman added, saying she was on the way to visit her mother at the time. “I was the only White person on the bus. By the time we started passing St. John’s Cemetery on Woodhaven, she started in on me, saying, ‘That’s where I’m going to bury you!’”
“She had a bag from Bath and Body Works, and she took out a scrub and said she was going to beat me with it. It was tangerine,” LeCroix told the newspaper. “She said, ‘You’re going to get what you deserve! All White people are going to get what they deserve.’ It was crazy.”
The attack is being investigated by NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.
CNN reported that hate crimes in New York City have increased by 76% since April when compared to the same time last year. In terms of numbers, the Jewish community has experienced 149 hate crimes, the Asian community reported 51, and the Black community has reported 35 in the same time period.
