SALEM, N.H. – Republican activist Chris Wood is all in for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Wood, a co-founder of the political action committee NH Draft DeSantis, is among many people hoping that the conservative firebrand governor will eventually launch a 2024 Republican Party presidential campaign.
“Our ultimate goal is to go out of business the day he announces,” Wood told Fox News.
The report explains that both NH Draft DeSantis and another super PAC, Ron to the Rescue, had booths set up at the New Hampshire Republican Party’s annual meeting, which was held at a high school in Salem, NH.
Former President Donald Trump was the keynote speaker at the event, but both the DeSantis groups say they are building grassroots support for the Florida governor and trying to convince him to run.
Another major group, Ready for Ron, is involved in similar activities, although DeSantis is not connected to any of the groups, the report states.

“Thank you to the @NHGOP for allowing us to table at their biannual state party meeting! We saw an outpouring of support from Republicans in the Granite State who are seeking change. The Republican Party is in dire need of new blood and DeSantis is DeFuture!” tweeted Ron to the Rescue.

Axios reporter Josh Kraushaar tweeted on Saturday, “Nearly as many overt signs of support for DeSantis as MAGA hats in the runup to Trump’s visit this morning.”
Ron to the Rescue, a super PAC backing DeSantis, has a presence at the meeting — and was joined by a local (unaffiliated) supporter selling DeSantis swag.

And from Arizona, Ready for Ron tweeted, “We were overwhelmed by the support we saw at the Arizona Republican Party today. Thanks to all who signed and stopped by! Arizona is #ReadyforRon!”
