WATCH: ‘The Chosen’ Star Says the Fight Against Abortion Is the ‘Noblest and Worthiest Cause’ in Riveting Speech

Christian actor Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus Christ in the hit series “The Chosen,” attended the Washington D.C. March for Life earlier this month and told fellow marchers that abortion is “satanic.”

The March for Life is an annual march throughout the nation’s capitol that began in response to the passage of Roe v. Wade in 1973. The march, which features a number of speakers throughout the day, took place this year on January 2oth.

“God is real, how do I know this?” Roumie began. “God is real and he is completely in love with each and every one of you. How do I know this?”

“Is it simply because my faith is the lens through which I view the whole of my reality?” he asked. “Is it because of the miracles that I have experienced in my own life and seen with my own eyes in which my faith has been my catalyst? Again, no.”

“God is real and he is completely in love with you because you are all here today. History has been made,” the actor exclaimed. “Life has triumphed in an extraordinary way. And the light of the world, who is Jesus Christ, the author of life. His light has burned so very brightly within each and every one of you irrespective of your specific beliefs.”

“Compelling you forward for one reason or another,” he stated, adding, “To stand together today and to fight the noblest and worthiest cause possible which is to allow the unborn the right to enter into the world and defeat those earthly forces that wish to destroy the very evidence of them.”

“You have chosen to journey to our nation’s capitol today not only to mourn the 64 million children lost through abortion over the last 50 years but to champion those yet to be born on the road to their own birth, made in the image of the Creator himself, and to testify to the miraculous sanctity of life himself,” the actor added in the opening of his speech.

The actor then went on to explain that Satan is just as real as God, explaining that Satan is “doubling down” on the evil of abortion, as reported by Breitbart.

“I’m not talking about the simplistic cartoon of some dude with horns and a tail. I’m talking about the father of lies, the great deceiver, the diabolical slanderer who pushes you to doubt when you know in your heart the right thing to do,” the 48-year-old actor explained. “And he is not about to give up this fight, either. In fact, he’s doubling down because guess what? His time is limited. So, he’s throwing everything he has at the world and all of us in it. And countless are being deceived as a result.”

“But that’s his job. He wants your and my destruction. He wants us to believe that abortion does not harm us individually or as a society so please I beg for you,” he asked, adding, “pray for those who do not have the faith, the strength, the clarity of purpose that you here do.”

The pro-life movement has been built upon the belief that every life is sacred and Roumie’s religious perspective on the issue is a powerful one. Pro-life Americans everywhere should take his message to heart and continue to fight for what they believe while praying for those that they struggle against to find the right and righteous path.
