Mother Sues Zuckerberg After Her Seven Year Old Got Addicted To Social Media

Election Rigger, Mark Zuckerberg’s company Meta is now being sued by a Colorado mother as she claims that her 13-year-old daughter has received “reckless, wanton, malicious [and] fraudulent” harm from the online platform.

She asserts that the social media platform holds an addictive nature, which led to her daughter experiencing “body dysmorphia, eating disorder, self-harm, severe anxiety, depression” among other health concerns.

The lawsuit also states that the social media app would send “constant” notifications to her daughter’s phone, keeping her up all night and decreasing her interest in other outside activities.

Cecelia Tesch claims that “she developed a number of mental health conditions that she still suffers from,” and that Meta called Facebook “a product that children and adolescents used, became addicted to, and abused without the consent of the users’ parents.” The mother, who accused her of designing it so that she could, insisted. ”

Now, the platiffs for the controversial lawsuit are saying that Facebook’s age verification policies are incredibly weak and that the social media giant knowingly exploits “vulnerable users” for profit.

Meta “designed Facebook to allow children and adolescents to use, become addicted to, and abuse their product without the consent of the users’ parents,” the lawsuit says.

Tesch has also mentioned that neither her nor her daughter “were aware of the clinically addictive and psychologically harmful effects of Facebook.”

And this isn’t the first time a social media platform has faced a lawsuit from parents.

TikTok is one of the apps that has faced some legal trouble over their “challenges” turning deadly for some users.
