Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary this week ripped Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for doing a garbage job representing her district.
Speaking with Fox News’ Tyrus on his Outkick show, “Maintaining with Tyrus,” O’Leary claimed her district “looks like a third-world country.”

“I look at AOC, what an incredible, incredibly successful politician she is and what a horrific manager she is,” he said. “Her jurisdiction looks like a third world country.”
“And yet she’s great at social media and making outrageous statements, and getting $5 at a time on, you know, every way she can on social. Good for her. But wow, look what she did when Amazon came knocking for 10,000 jobs,” he added.
Job Creators Network CEO Alfredo Ortiz previously told Fox News that Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign against the Amazon deal had cost the city “25,000 good-paying jobs” and that she’d “sent a message to job creators everywhere that they were no longer welcome in her city.”
And when O’Leary told several CNN hosts last year that he was no longer interested in expanding his business in the New York area, he pointed to Ocasio-Cortez as to why, saying, “She’s great at killing jobs. She kills jobs by the thousands.”
Shark Tank’s @kevinolearytv calls New York an “uninvestable” regulatory and tax environment, then attacks Rep. @AOC as “great at killing jobs, she kills jobs by the thousands.”

The interview with Tyrus continued with O’Leary asking New York voters why they tolerate Ocasio-Cortez’s bull.
“Why would you want to reward that?” he said. “Why wouldn’t you say, ‘Excuse me. Could I get better management, please? I live here. I pay taxes here and I’d like a job. And I don’t think you’re doing a great job for me as a manager. How about I hire somebody else?’”
“That’s what I would encourage,” he continued, adding that the “great thing about democracy” is that garbage lawmakers can be voted out.
“Not that she isn’t just great as a politician. There are countries that have weak leaders. There are states that have bad governors. I think, people, the great thing about democracy is we can do better,” he explained.
Tyrus then asked him whether he’d ever invest in her since he believes she’s a “great politician.” He responded with a resounding no.
“Let me be specific, I wouldn’t hire her to manage a candy store,” he said.
This isn’t the first time O’Leary has bashed Ocasio-Cortez.
AOC is a great politician as measured by how much free unpaid media she gets. However, she’s a HORRIFIC manager as evidenced by the state of her district. If I were living there and paying taxes there, I would want to change my management! pic.twitter.com/IOtNApghHr

In 2021, when the congresswoman started selling a “Tax the Rich” sweater on her website, O’Leary pounced, mocking her for being a capitalist-loving socialist — which, FYI, is an oxymoron.
“You know what this proves? Inside of every socialist, there’s a capitalist screaming to get out,” he said in a video uploaded to X.
“AOC, call me. We can blow this thing up together. We could make a fortune. I only want 7 percent royalty. That’s being reasonable. Call me. Call me,” he added.

Overall, Ocasio-Cortez is an “economic illiterate,” as The Liberal Washington Post’s lone conservative, Marc. A Thiessen, noted in 2019, right after Ocasio-Cortez blew the Amazon deal.
“Amazon’s departure cost the city between 25,000 and 40,000 new jobs,” Thiessen wrote. “Forget the tech workers whom Amazon would have employed.”
“Gone are all the unionized construction jobs to build the headquarters, as well as thousands of jobs created by all the small businesses — restaurants, bodegas, dry cleaners and food carts — that were preparing to open or expand to serve Amazon employees. They are devastated by Amazon’s withdrawal,” he added.
He then drew attention to Ocasio-Cortez’s claim that New York would have been subsidizing those jobs at a cost of $3 billion and that the $3 billion could have been used to directly hire people.
“Ocasio-Cortez does not seem to realize that New York does not have $3 billion in cash sitting around waiting to be spent on her socialist dreams,” Thiessen explained. “The subsidies to Amazon were tax incentives, not cash payouts. It is Amazon’s money, which New York agreed to make tax-exempt, so the company would invest it in building its new headquarters, hiring new workers and generating tens of billions in new tax revenue.”
