White House Tells McCarthy To Reveal What?

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Tuesday, the White House urged Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to disclose the agreements he made with conservative House members in order to win the Speakership position. McCarthy had to go through a weeklong battle to become the House Speaker, during which he agreed to a number of concessions.

Deputy White House press secretary Andrew Bates has warned that so far it is unclear what the extent of the agreements that McCarthy and the 20 Republicans who had opposed his Speaker bid originally were. He added that depending on what the agreements entailed it was possible for them to have extreme effects on the economy and on government programs.

In his statement, Bates noted that among the things that McCarthy has agreed to could be several different extremist MAGA policies, such as increasing taxation for the middle class or putting a national abortion ban. He added that just a few agreements that are already known could be enough to completely change the shape of life for working families and women across the United States.

Bates added that the American people had a right to know what McCarthy had agreed to win this position.

McCarthy won the Speakership vote after the 15th ballot following a number of concessions. Some of these included lowering the threshold for forcing a vote to remove the House speaker, and promising that term limits and border security would be addressed on the floor.
