I’ve given up complaining about the dumb thing kids find entertaining on YouTube. There are better ways to yell at people to get off of my lawn. So if prank videos are what youths find entertaining, meh. But your mother and daughter have to be first cousins for you to think pretending to steal someone’s luggage AT THE AIRPORT and calling it a “prank” is a good idea.
I don’t want to amplify the idiots by looking up who they are, but there is an entire catalog of these videos. One man didn’t find their prank funny. I’ll give you the ending of the video. The man is the one who gets arrested. Because like most pranksters who start trouble, they are ginormous bitches about it when you fight back.
Having to explain the difference between a “prank” and lying to my six-year-old is one thing. The difference between a “prank” and attempted theft is something else. Because there is no difference. Trying to steal someone’s luggage — at the airport — and saying “only fooling” should not hold up in court.
Also, the airport? Air travel is a miserable experience as it is. You’re getting people at their lowest when they have the least amount of f*cks to give. And these YouTube idiots are pretending to steal their property for pageviews.
I say we start our own YouTube channel. We’ll call it the “Punch the Airport Pranksters in the Face Prank Challenge.” First, we go to the airport. Then we spot someone filming someone else pretending to steal someone’s language. Then WE have someone film US punching them in the face.
And then we say “it’s just a prank.” It’s genius.
