Conservative political commentator Ineitha Lynnette Hardaway tragically passed away at the age of 51 earlier this month. Hardaway and her sister, Herneitha Rochelle Hardaway Richardson, were famously known as “Diamond and Silk,” who were often seen on cable news, social media, and even at campaign rallies for former President Donald Trump.
Rochelle Richardson, known as “Silk,” spoke at an event over the weekend in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to celebrate the life of her sister. Silk said she was by Diamond’s side and recounted harrowing details of what happened in the moments before she passed away.
“As soon as Diamond hung up the phone, she said to me, ‘I cannot breathe.’ It was sudden, out of nowhere, and with no warning. I got her to the kitchen table and opened up the back door so that she could get some air. And each breath was less and less and less until her eyes became a stare. My husband and I followed the 911 instructions,” Silk began.
“They said do CPR, and it was one, two, three, four … My husband and I alternated and kept going and going and going. They did everything that they could. But what I want to say to everybody is don’t you dare call me a conspiracy theorist because I saw it happen. I saw how it happened. I was there when it happened. And it happened suddenly. I want America to wake up and pay attention. Something ain’t right. It’s time to investigate what’s really going on here and get some answers to why are people falling dead suddenly,” she added.

Trump released a statement on his Truth Social account mourning Hardaway’s “unexpected” death.
“Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, ALL Americans. Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loved so much, North Carolina. Silk was with her all the way, and at her passing. There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out. Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!” Trump wrote.
Conservative commentator Sebastian Gorka wrote: “Support poured in for the family on Twitter. Ineitha Lynnette Hardaway, Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has left us. She was a warrior patriot and we will be missed.”
Commentator CJ Pearson tweeted: “Heartbroken. My thoughts and prayers are with @DiamondandSilk as they mourn the loss of Diamond, who passed away today. It was an honor to know Diamond – a PATRIOT. RIP.”
Conservative comedian Terrence Williams tweeted: “This is truly heartbreaking. This one hit hard. Diamond, of Diamond and Silk has passed away. I’m at a lost for words. We will miss you and most definitely will never forget you. Love you forever. Please keep her sister Silk in your prayers. RIP Legend.”
Lavern Spicer said: “I want to send my condolences to Diamond of @DiamondAndSilk. Those two women woke up so many people and made such a difference in the MAGA community. Diamond, you will be missed and you will never be replaced. May God welcome you into Heaven with open arms and a MAGA hat!”
Ben & Candy Carson wrote on their official Twitter account: “Diamond of @DiamondandSilk was an incredible person who truly cared about America. I enjoyed going on the show because she was always positive, with a smile, and reminded people why America is so important and worth saving. We send condolences to Silk and Diamond’s entire family.”
