TENINO, WA – Authorities have reported the arrest of a man and a woman in connection to a fatal bar shooting in Thurston County, on Tuesday. The violent incident took place at around 5:45 p.m. at the Old Hwy 99 Company Bar and Grill in Tenino, as stated by the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO).
The main suspect in question is a man in his late 60s from Tenino, while the woman, who is believed to be in her mid-40s and was accompanying the primary suspect, was also detained by law enforcement. TCSO specified that she faces charges associated with the shooting incident.
Upon arrival at the bar, deputies found bar patrons had successfully restrained the male suspect. According to TCSO, their investigation found that the incident escalated from a disturbance at the establishment earlier that involved the same couple.
During the subsequent confrontation, the male suspect allegedly fired at and killed the victim, who died at the scene.
Following his apprehension by bar patrons, the male suspect required medical care. He was transported to the hospital to receive medical treatment before being moved to the county jail. TCSO is urging anyone with more information on the deadly incident to reach out directly.
