On January 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed in a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan the normalization of Turkish-Syrian relations and other issues of interest;
On January 17, the SDF carried out a military exercise in the neighborhood of Ghwairan in the south of Hasakah city.
