An anecdote on mistaken identity included an “insulted” Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), botox and transgenderism.

The former speaker of the House infamously said in 2010 “…we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it…” referring to Obamacare. Those remarks applied Friday when Boebert took to Rumble to tear into elements of the $1.2 trillion omnibus package after its passage through the lower chamber that followed an unexpected comparison between the congresswomen.
Shifting gears from funds toward late-term abortions to $5 million earmarked for “a group that specializes in transgender medicine,” Boebert expressed how she was fed up with the “assault on our children” that presented an opportunity to segue.
“You wanna be an adult, you wanna spend your own money to change your body up, sure. You know — I’m a fan of Botox,” she admitted holding up her hand. “Okay, actually, side note, let’s tell a little story here — I may need some more.”
“Yesterday, I was walking on the Capitol Hill complex and this group of students got really excited and I hear them, they go, ‘Hey that’s Nancy Pelosi.’ Another one says, ‘Oh my gosh, yeah that is. That’s Nancy Pelosi,’” explained the lawmaker.
“I started looking around,” she mimed before explaining her realizations, “it’s me! Like, oh Lord, oh Lord, I need some Botox. I don’t think I’ve ever been so insulted in my life.”
“Well, until we spent $1.2 trillion on, you know, groups that specialize in transgender medicine today,” qualified the 37-year-old Boebert days before Pelosi marked her 84th birthday.
Compounding the insult, Newsweek had sought comment from the former speaker’s office on the Colorado Republican’s story only to have a spokesperson respond, “Who?”
Efforts to maintain a youthful appearance were not nearly as pressing for Boebert who later reminded that her Rumble video was a campaign event as she faced a tough race to maintain a seat in Washington, D.C. as the Republican majority shriveled with early departures.
The premature resignation of Colorado Rep. Ken Buck (R) demanded a special election be held to finish out the congressman’s term. However, Boebert insisted that she was focusing on continuing her own race to avoid triggering another special election while also decrying the insiders who were expected to pick a nominee to run for Buck’s seat.
“They’re rigging the vacancy committee to nominate the establishment’s choice,” she said during her stream as she insisted Buck was behind a “Ukraine-first candidate” taking over. “Ken Buck is not well respected in Colorado’s 4th district any longer.”
Also on the line was the possibility of another speakership showdown after Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) filed a motion to vacate House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) despite the small edge maintained by the GOP. Radio host Dan Bongino and others warned that it remained a realistic possibility that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) could secure the gavel ahead of the 2024 election if the pieces continued to fall into place in his favor.
“Wouldn’t that be interesting if, right before a presidential election where a group of Never-Trump Republicans, who hate Donald Trump, strategically leave their seats in Congress to make sure Speaker Hakeem Jeffries, a radical far-left Democrat…gets the gavel,” wondered Bongino. “Wouldn’t that be fascinating?”
