NIKE is cutting 2% of its worldwide workforce. At home, 740 employees at their headquarters are being laid off.
As for Intel, they laid off 7,000 employees nationwide last year, and just announced a new round of layoffs in April. Intel is one of Oregon’s largest private employers.
This is troubling news for Oregon’s top employers and often most recognized successful firms in Oregon.
