Jesse Watters of Fox News’ “The Five” suggested that Donald Trump cares more about Latinos than President Biden based on Trump selling “taco bowls” at his Trump Grill restaurant.
Watters claimed the taco bowls are “the greatest” and that he’s tried them, implying this shows outreach to Hispanics.
In contrast, Watters said Biden’s family thinks Latinos are “tacos.”
“One word ― actually two, judge ― taco bowls,” Watters said. “Donald Trump sells taco bowls. They’re the greatest taco bowls you’ve ever eaten. I’ve tried them. They’re delicious. Does Joe Biden sell taco bowls? No. His family thinks Mexican Americans are tacos.”
However, Trump had made disparaging comments about Mexican immigrants during his 2016 campaign, including saying Mexico sends “rapists” to the U.S.
His promise to build a border wall was criticized as promoting a “wall of hate.”
Furthermore, a former Mexican president slammed the idea that taco bowls represent Mexican culture, saying they are “shit” and people should just “eat a [expletive] taco.”
”Happy #CincoDeMayo! The best taco bowls are made in Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics!” Trump wrote in 2016.
“They’re bringing drugs,” Trump said of Mexican migrants. “They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
“[Taco bowls] are [expletive],” former Mexican President Vicente Fox said. “They are not even Mexican. Why is the bowl made out of tortilla? Just eat a [expletive] taco.”
