Smelling potential blood in the water, dozens of Democrats are turning on Israel following a call between President Biden and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding an end to the military support of our closest ally.
Hamas is claiming victory after the media reported Biden bullied Israel into pulling troops from southern Gaza. However, White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby told ABC News that it “is really just about rest and refit for these troops that have been on the ground for four months and not necessarily, that we can tell, indicative of some coming new operation for these troops.”
Hamas wasn’t the only one to do a victory lap.
“Calls among Democrats for the U.S. to halt weapons shipments to Israel have grown since Biden’s conversation last week and an Israel Defense Forces strike that killed seven staffers of the World Central Kitchen, with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., being the latest party leader to sign onto a letter urging the president to end the shipments,” Fox News reported.
“In light of this incident, we strongly urge you to reconsider your recent decision to authorize the transfer of a new arms package to Israel and to withhold this and any future offensive arms transfers until a full investigation into the airstrike is completed,” a letter from 37 House Democrats to Biden urged.
Apparently when Israel’s “friends” say that they will always support the state, they mean briefly and so long as it’s politically convenient.

A number of Democrat Senate leaders are also turning on Israel.
“On March 14, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer called on Israel to hold new elections to oust Netanyahu, who Schumer said had ‘lost his way’ during Israel’s monthslong siege of Gaza,” Fox News reported.
“Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah,” Schumer asserted, according to the Associated Press.
Biden threatened Netanyahu last week that U.S. policy concerning Gaza could change if Israel does not do more to protect civilians there. The president stated that strikes on “humanitarian workers and the overall humanitarian situation are unacceptable.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken also warned that the U.S. could change its stance towards Israel “if we don’t see the changes that we need to see” and Kirby demanded we see those changes within “hours and days.”
“The president made very clear his concerns, and the prime minister acknowledged those concerns,” Kirby stated.
Biden further demanded an “immediate cease-fire,” and told Netanyahu that it would be “essential to stabilize and improve the humanitarian situation and protect innocent civilians.”
Then Democrats began lining up to betray Israel right on cue.
“If Benjamin Netanyahu were to order the Israel Defense Force (IDF) into Rafah at scale … and make no provision for civilians or for humanitarian aid, I would vote to condition aid to Israel,” Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) said in an interview with CNN. “I’ve never said that before, I’ve never been here before.”

The letter from Democrats made it very plain that they were turning on Israel, conveniently forgetting the atrocities committed by Hamas on Oct. 7.
“We also urge you to withhold these transfers if Israel fails to sufficiently mitigate harm to innocent civilians in Gaza, including aid workers, and if it fails to facilitate — or arbitrarily denies or restricts the transport and delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza,” the Democrats’ letter said.
Biden is now acting shocked and appalled that anyone would suggest he is cutting off military aid to Israel.
“I asked them to do what they’re doing,” Biden told reporters, according to a Times of Israel report.
When another reporter asked if Biden was abandoning Israel, he replied, “Where you from, man?”
“Is that a serious question?” Biden said when asked the question again.
