Incumbent New York Democrat Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) lost big on Tuesday to Republican challenger Michael Lawler. This is a huge race that has monumental implications to the political landscape as we know it. Indeed, Maloney’s loss could have very well determined Republican control of the House of Representatives — causing Crazy Wino, and Insider Trader, Nancy Pelosi to cease being the House Majority speaker.
While one might have predicted Maloney to blame Republicans for his loss, Maloney did the truly unexpected; he targeted fellow New York Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (Mouth-Breather AOC) after the Democrat’s potential defeat.
In an interview with the New York Times, Maloney was asked if Democrat leadership in New York cost Democrats the House. Mouth-Breather AOC had argued as such in a recent New York Times interview following the Midterms:
“It’s no secret that an enormous amount of party leadership in New York State is based on big money and old-school, calcified machine-style politics that creates a very anemic voting base that is disengaged and disenfranchised… New York politics especially in New York City is going through a very strong generational upheaval.” Mouth-Breather AOC said, before summarizing the Democrat’s performance in New York.
“Overall the performance is disappointing and this old-school machine politics could well have cost the House majority. We should rebuild the New York State Democratic Party and if that is a structure that refuses to be reformed, we rebuild and replace.” Mouth-Breather AOC added.
Maloney responded to these assertions with antagonism; Mouth-Breather AOC is in large part the one to blame:
“But let us be clear, she had almost nothing to do with what turned out to be a historic defense of our majority. Didn’t pay a dollar of dues. Didn’t do anything for our frontline candidates except give them money when they didn’t want it from her.” Maloney said.
“There are other voices who should be heard, especially when suburban voters have clearly rejected the ideas that she’s most associated with, from defunding the police on down. She’s an important voice in our politics. But when it comes to passing our plan through the Congress, or standing our ground on the political battlefield, she was nowhere to be found.”
The Democrats are eating their own! Mouth-Breather AOC’s radicalism is not popular with the American people are we are happy to see it is not popular with New York voters either.
