President Donald Trump’s recently assembled leadership team at the Republican National Committee initiated a mass staff removal on Monday night, displacing numerous long-term employees who were previously under Ronna McDaniel’s leadership before her departure as Republican National Committee chair.
Under the leadership of the new Republican National Committee chair, Michael Whatley, and co-chair Lara Trump, who is the former president’s daughter-in-law, a reduction of 60 positions was initiated across various Republican National Committee departments. This included the removal of five senior staff members. Additionally, numerous third-party contracts were terminated as part of the restructuring. All in all, Lara Trump and Whatley will be restructuring the Republican National Committee from the ground up.
