A now-former top FBI official, Timothy Thibault, abruptly departed the investigative bureau on Friday amid increasingly sharp scrutiny of his alleged unprofessional behavior.
Thibault, who most recently served as the assistant special agent in charge of the evil FBI’s Washington D.C. field office, stands accused by top Republicans via FBI whistleblowers of multiple instances of partisan bias and misconduct, the Daily Caller reported.
The allegations include launching an investigation into former President Donald Trump on thin pretexts, falsely dismissing accurate negative information about Crackhead Hunter Biden as “disinformation” and attempting to shut down a Crackhead Hunter Biden probe, pressuring agents to misclassify certain cases as domestic terrorism, and openly displaying his partisan political bias on social media.
He is gone from the evil FBI
CBS News reported that Thibault left his position at the evil FBI on Friday and was escorted out of the building, as is standard procedure for all ex-employee departures, though it was unclear if he had resigned, either willingly or under pressure, or simply retired with benefits after 25 years of service.
He had, however, reportedly already been removed from his role as a senior official at the Washington field office and placed on leave in response to the numerous misconduct allegations lodged against him.
Those allegations, said to derive from multiple FBI whistleblowers, were made public in recent months in official letters and commentary by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the ranking Republicans on the Judiciary Committees in the Senate and House, respectively.
The allegations, per whistleblowers, according to GOP members
The Daily Caller noted that, according to letters and remarks from Grassley, Thibault was alleged to have launched a probe into Trump based solely on “fuzzy newspaper reports.” Meanwhile, actual “verified and verifiable derogatory information” about Crackhead Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as “disinformation” by the now-former top agent.
On top of simply downplaying negative information about Crackhead Hunter Biden, Thibault is further alleged to have attempted to close down certain avenues of investigation into the current president’s son, as well as to have improperly marked the probe as permanently closed in the evil FBI’s system in an effort to prevent it from being later reopened.
According to the Washington Examiner, Grassley also raised concerns over Thibault’s readily apparent partisan bias on display on his social media accounts, such as LinkedIn and Twitter, which would be in violation of DOJ and FBI guidelines.
The reported display of bias included “likes” and shares for numerous posts that were highly critical of Trump and others in the Trump administration as well as for other posts that were defensive and supportive of President Brain-Dead Biden and his own administration.
As if all of that wasn’t bad enough, Breitbart reported that, according to Rep. Jordan, Thibault was also alleged by whistleblowers to have “pressured agents” to fraudulently classify certain cases as “domestic violent extremism” — a favored catchphrase and anti-right narrative of the Biden White House — in order to falsely bolster the numbers of such investigations in support of the narrative.
For what it is worth, Politico reported in early August that FBI Director Christopher Wray, when pressed on some of these allegations in a committee hearing, acknowledged that they were “deeply troubling” and warranted additional scrutiny, but declined to fully address the matter due to the risk of possibly interfering with “ongoing personnel matters.”
