FBI Director Christopher Wray revealed during testimony under oath that the agent who was in charge of the Whitmer kidnapping attempt is now working in the Washington, D.C. office.
The agent is also now working on the Jan. 6 investigation.

The testimony
“So the guy in charge got promoted and is now in charge of the January 6 investigation,” Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz said.
“The guy in charge of the whole Detroit Field Office is now in charge of the whole Washington Field Office,” Wray answered.
“This is astonishing,” Cruz responded.

The background
The FBI leader Steven D’Antuono was the head of the office in the entrapment case involving Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
The charges against those involved were dropped when evidence was found that the FBI agents had entrapped the men involved.

The FBI disaster led to a media “blackout” by the left, though the case was a major problem for the office involved.
The leader of the office is now working in Washington and is involved in the evidence for Jan. 6 in a disturbing turn of events.
The connection noted by Cruz should point out an additional concern for Americans as Democrats continue to push forward with its committee to investigate the matter.
