Kevin Costner addressed the burning question from fans of “Yellowstone” about whether his character, Jon Dutton, would appear in the final episodes of the fifth and final season of the show.
“I’d like to be able to do it, but we haven’t been able to — I’m not sure how it’s being worked out,” he told Entertainment Tonight at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
“I’ve loved making that series,” he went on. “I made five seasons of it. I thought I was going to make seven [seasons] but right now we’re at five. So how it works out — I hope it does — but they’ve got a lot of different shows going on.”
There have been rumors that due to scheduling conflicts with Costner’s new show “Horizon: An American Saga,” he would not finish out “Yellowstone.”
“Maybe this will circle back to me. If it does, and I feel really comfortable with [it], I’d love to do it,” Costner told ET.
The final episodes will be shot in May or June, according to Ian Bohen, who plays Ryan on the show.
