A teenager from Missouri is in critical condition and fighting for her life after she was brutally attacked by a large group of students near her high school in St. Louis County last Friday.
The savage beating took place near Hazelwood East High School as several students were involved in a chaotic brawl, as shown in a video recording of the incident captured by a bystander.
The footage shows the victim, identified only as “Kaylee,” being punched by another girl before the assailant climbs on top of her, repeatedly slamming her head against the ground until she falls unconscious. The disturbing video also captures Kaylee convulsing after the attack.
Kaylee was rushed to the hospital and admitted in critical condition, according to a GoFundMe campaign set up for her on Tuesday.

In an emotional post on the campaign page, a family friend named Sarah Hall described the devastating impact of this incident on Kaylee and her loved ones. She revealed that the teen suffered a skull fracture and frontal lobe damage and is currently battling major brain bleeding and swelling. Her future remains uncertain until she wakes up and the extent of the damage can be assessed.
Hall stated that the road to recovery will be a challenging one for Kaylee and her family, not just emotionally but also financially. She appealed to those who are unable to make contributions to the campaign to keep Kaylee in their thoughts and prayers.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the GoFundMe page had raised over $100,000 out of its $150,000 goal, a testament to the community’s support and kindness towards Kaylee and her family.

The assailant responsible for this heinous act was arrested on Saturday and is facing assault charges. Many, including Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey and the state’s Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe, believe that she should be tried as an adult for her actions.
The Hazelwood School District, where the attack occurred, released a statement expressing their condolences to everyone involved. They also addressed the broader issue of bullying and violence in the community, urging everyone to take responsibility and work towards a solution for the sake of their children.
In the wake of this tragedy, the district is offering emotional support and counseling services to those in need. They also expressed their commitment to working with the community to prevent similar incidents in the future. As they deal with the aftermath of this horrific attack, the district asked for kindness and respect towards the families involved.
This culture of complete disregard for human life is unacceptable, and it does not represent who we are as Missourians.
All involved must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Our prayers are with the victim, Kailee, for a full recovery. https://t.co/8YZv6XmfLd
