(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Leonel Moreno, a “migrant influencer” who gained popularity by promoting squatting and exploiting U.S. system loopholes, is now under scrutiny for potential federal firearm charges, as reported by The New York Post. The exact nature of the charges Moreno might face remains unclear, but it is speculated that they could be related to the Gun Control Act, which restricts individuals on parole from owning, transporting, or receiving firearms or ammunition.
Moreno, who illegally entered the U.S. in 2022, managed to build a substantial following of over 500,000 on TikTok by disparaging Americans and advocating the misuse of U.S. government resources. His activities continued unchecked until March 29, when he was arrested in Columbus, Ohio, for violating his parole conditions.
Former Denver ICE field officer John Fabbriatore commented to The Post that Moreno’s arrest could lead to his transfer to U.S. Marshals custody if the ATF decides to press charges. Fabbriatore, now a congressional candidate in Colorado, emphasized that Moreno’s case should serve as a deterrent to illegal immigrants unlawfully possessing firearms.
Moreno’s social media content often highlighted his disdain for work and his preference for exploiting financial benefits in the U.S. He shared content from gun stores, where he was seen handling firearms, and made provocative statements about gun ownership to his audience.
Despite his online bravado and the display of weapons, there is no concrete proof that Moreno purchased any firearms. His notoriety peaked with videos encouraging his followers to occupy vacant U.S. properties, misinterpreting and manipulating legal concepts for personal gain.
The ATF did not confirm or deny any ongoing or potential investigations into Moreno.
