Another turncoat former Trump administration figure has claimed responsibility for helping turncoat former Trump administration aide Cassidy Hutchinson come forward with her wild allegations against their former boss.
Speaking on Fake News CNN this Thursday, former Trump-era communications official turned commentator Alyssa Farah Griffin said that a couple of months ago, Hutchinson came to her for help, so she directed her into the arms of the beast.
“Cassidy actually came to me and said, there’s more I want to share with the committee a couple months ago. I put her in touch with Congresswoman [Liz] Cheney. She got a new lawyer and that’s how this testimony came about,” she said.
Apparently, Griffin and Hutchinson are close friends.
Cassidy Hutchinson is my friend. I knew her testimony would be damning. I had no idea it’d be THIS damning.
I am so grateful for her courage & integrity.
To anyone who would try to impugn her character, I’d be glad to put you in touch w/ @January6thCmte to appear UNDER OATH.

Griffin continued by explaining the part about a new lawyer.
“So what people need to understand is Trump world was assigning lawyers to a lot of these staffers who themselves don’t have [lawyers] … Well, I should say covering the cost of lawyers for people who don’t have big legal defense funds to themselves,” she said.
“It’s my understanding, you would have to confirm that, but she had someone, Stephon Positano [ph], who had been in the White House Counsel’s Office, is still aligned with Trump world. She did her interview, she complied with the committee, but she shared with me there is more I want to share that was not asked in those settings, how do we do this?”
Griffin then came to the rescue by directing her into the arms of Cheney.
“And in that process, she got a new attorney of her own. Congresswoman Cheney had a sense of what questions needed to be asked that weren’t previously. So, that’s how this shocking testimony that people didn’t realize before kind of came about and it didn’t come up in her earlier interview, some of these facts,” she said.
The discussion on Fake News CNN continued with several of the hosts making a big deal out of Trump offering his junior staff paid attorneys, with one commentator, Elie Honig, a former prosecutor, likening it to “mafia” behavior.
The “shocking testimony” referenced by Griffin involved allegations that then-President Donald Trump had attacked one of his own Secret Service Agents during the Jan. 6th riot because they’d refused to drive him to the Capitol so he could be with his supporters.
The allegations have since been refuted by the Secret Service agents themselves:

As previously reported, Hutchinson testified before the Jan. 6th committee on Tuesday. In her testimony, she weaved a wild tale based on second-hand information.
She specifically said that she’d heard from another aide, Tony Ornato, that Trump had attacked two of his own Secret Service agents.
Ornato allegedly told her that as the two agents, lead agent Robert Engel and the unnamed driver, were driving Trump back to the White House following the “Stop the Steal” rally, he demanded they take him to the Capitol, where at the time the Jan. 6th riot was underway.
The agents refused, noting that the Capitol wasn’t secure, and this allegedly outraged the then-president.
“Tony described him as being ‘irate.’ The president said something to the effect of ‘I’m the f–king president, take me up to the Capitol now,’ to which Bobby [lead agent Robert Engel] responded, ‘Sir, we have to go back to the West Wing,’” Hutchinson testified Tuesday.
The then-president then allegedly tried to reach for the steering wheel and attacked his own agents.
“The President reached up towards the front of the vehicle to grab at the steering wheel. Mr. Engel grabbed his arm, said, ‘Sir, you need to take your hand off the steering wheel, we’re going back to the West Wing, we’re not going to the Capitol.’ Mr. Trump then used his free hand to lunge towards Bobby Engel, and when Mr. Ornato had recounted this story to me, he had motioned towards his clavicles,” Hutchinson continued.
Her allegations went viral among leftists who were — and remain — convinced that this is the “smoking gun” needed to take down Trump.
But as noted earlier, her allegations have since been refuted by all four of the involved parties — Ornato, Engel, the driver, and even Trump himself.

Cheney also spoke up during the hearing. She specifically alleged that the former president’s associates have been trying to pressure Jan. 6th witnesses. As proof, she read a couple of text messages she’d received from the witnesses.
“What they said to me is as long as I continue to be a team player, they know that I’m on the team, I’m doing the right thing, I’m protecting who I need to protect, you know, I’ll continue to stay in the good graces in Trump world,” one of the messages read.
“And they have reminded me a couple of times that Trump does read transcripts and just keep that in mind as I proceed through my depositions and interviews with the committee,” it continued.

But Cheney conveniently neglected to name the witnesses, not that it would have made much of a difference, given as Democrats have engineered the committee so that there are no cross-examinations of witnesses …
