An interview from behind bars had disgraced former attorney Michael Avenatti asserting what many knew to be obvious about the former president’s alleged hush money trial.
“…I think the case has a lot of problems.”

Leftist love for useful talking heads remained a fickle thing as the disbarred and incarcerated Michael Avenatti appeared to show when he joined MSNBC’s Ari Melber Tuesday. Calling in to “The Beat” from California’s Federal Correctional Institution, Terminal Island, the one-time attorney for Stormy Daniels offered a take on the upcoming trial that seemed to favor former President Donald Trump’s own claims.
“I think what I’m about to say is going to surprise a lot of people and that is that, you know, I think this is the wrong case at the wrong time, Ari,” Avenatti contended. “I think that the case is, in many ways, stale at this juncture.”
Set to begin April 15 despite efforts from the defense to delay, Trump faces criminal allegations over how his organization was said to have made payments to adult film star Daniels, supposedly for her to remain silent about a claimed extramarital affair with the businessman.
After asking the convicted felon if he’d been touch with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, Melber wondered, “what specifically in evidence or logic do you think is wrong with this case?”
Opting against detailing any contact he may or may not have had with the prosecution or defense, Avenatti cut ahead to perceived problems with the state case he believes “has a lot of problems.”
“Now that — I don’t mean to suggest that means that Trump will not be convicted because I think he will be convicted because, number one, he’s a criminal defendant and in our society, I don’t believe criminal defendants generally get a fair shake,” he asserted.
The former attorney then indicated, “Number two, I don’t think that he can get a fair trial in New York. And to the people who claim that in fact, he can get a fair trial in New York with a New York jury, I would ask them, if they were to go to sleep tonight and wake up tomorrow and find out that the case had been moved to Mississippi or Alabama, would they still think that the trial was gonna be fair?”
“And I think if they were being honest, they would answer no. So, I don’t think he can get a fair trial in New York,” added Avenatti before taking aim at former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, the man responsible for a $130,000 payment to Daniels for a nondisclosure agreement.
“Michael Cohen — and you know I’ve never been a fan of Michael for various reasons — you know, he’s a serial liar,” accused the man serving 19 years for extortion, fraud, obstruction and identity theft. “He’s shown himself to be incapable of telling the truth. His legal acumen leaves a lot to be desired. Let’s just say if Learned Hand or Clarence Darrow had a lovechild, it certainly wouldn’t be someone like Michael Cohen.”
Having suggested that the president could find recourse in the appeal process, Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers demonstrated that entertaining anything other than the “walls are closing in” narrative deserved scorn on social media.
I thought it was very inappropriate and my skin crawled while listening. Do better @TheBeatWithAri

And it wasn’t a live interview. He said it was pre recorded. He could have rebutted it immediately. Or better yet, he could’ve scrapped it altogether.

That interview provided a platform for convicted, imprisoned liar Michael Avenatti to baselessly undercut Stormy, Cohen, and the case against Donald Trump. He came across as the unrepentant narcissist that he is, and Ari never pushed back. Shameful.

So what does MSNBC do this morning but have him on AGAIN on MorningJoe.

His Democrat pals abandoned him so he may as well tell the truth.
