Parents and Republican lawmakers are raising concerns and seeking clarification regarding allegations that a male Space Camp counselor, who identifies as a female, was granted access to the girl’s dormitories.
Expressing his concerns, Clay Yarbrough of Huntsville, Alabama, took to his Facebook page to discuss the employment of a transgender counselor at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
“My daughter was planning on going to space camp next week, but we have just discovered that this person is a team leader and a hall monitor in the girls dorms, and occasionally has the opportunity to be alone in the halls at night,” Yarbrough wrote in a now-viral post. “This individual identifies as a different gender, and their identity is accepted.”
“It’s puzzling to have a transgender person in charge of boys and girls at a space camp in Huntsville, Alabama,” Sen. Tommy Tuberville told 1819News.com. Just take a look at this person’s social media posts and prepare to be astounded by their discussions and beliefs. Well, you know. I believe in the traditional family structure. I believe in the inherent goodness of all people. I don’t believe in the existence of 64 different genders.
Rep. Dale Strong (R-AL) called for the termination of the male counselor.
“The U.S. Space and Rocket Center has always been dedicated to promoting science-based education in North Alabama,” Strong told 1819News.com. “As an educational institution for our nation’s children, it is of utmost importance to prioritize their safety and well-being. I urge the Center to take immediate action by removing this individual and conducting a safety review to assess the potential harm and damages they may have unintentionally caused to children.
The U.S. Space and Rocket Center released a statement stating that they were conducting an investigation, but so far, they have not discovered any evidence of misconduct.
“We prioritize the well-being of all individuals—our students, our employees, and our guests,” the statement said. Recently, our staff has unfortunately been subjected to a series of threatening messages, ranging from general to highly specific. This is highly unacceptable and a grave matter that we are addressing internally and with the necessary authorities.
The Rocket Center stated that no specific allegations were mentioned in the initial social media post.
“The U.S. Space & Rocket Center wants to reassure parents, teachers, and the public that no child has been physically harmed on our campus,” the statement said. Actually, there was never any mention of such an accusation during the recent social media uproar. Furthermore, our operation is meticulously crafted with multiple layers of protection to prevent any potential vulnerabilities.

SRH: Once the truth is shut down, this country will fall into complete darkness. Recently, actress Jamie Lee Curtis gave a speech in which she criticized conservative Christians. She said that they were “championing” homophobia and transphobia in the “name of religion” and that they needed to be “exposed and silenced.” “These are very dangerous times, and I’m very happy to be in a room with people who are fighting the best fight they can fight,” Curtis told the crowd at the Out100 Celebration. According to Fox News, the event was a red carpet honor for Out magazine’s 100 LGBTQ trailblazers. For some reason, the Halloween star then said that she “prays” that religious people who have different views than her are “exposed and silenced.” SRH: Once the truth is shut down, this country will fall into Complete darkness.…Read More
