EXCLUSIVE: The Liberal Washington Post is facing a backlash after the media outlet quoted three experts to cast doubt on the validity of a bullet wound sustained in Afghanistan by a top Republican Senate candidate, but omitted the trio’s ties to the Democratic Party.
Former Navy SEAL Tim Sheehy, who is running to unseat Democrat Sen. Jon Tester, went to the emergency room after a reported fall in Montana’s Glacier National Park in 2015. Sheehy was asked about a bullet found in his arm during the visit and told a National Park ranger that he had accidentally shot himself with a Colt .45 revolver — but Sheehy recently revealed that he actually suffered the injury while serving in Afghanistan in 2012.
Sheehy told the Washington Post that he never reported it to his superiors to avoid an investigation, telling the outlet that he was unsure where the bullet came from. He said he did not report the incident in an effort to protect his former platoonmates.
The Post, which began the report by claiming Sheehy left the bullet in his arm “as evidence of his toughness,” spoke with several individuals who called Sheehy’s story into question. Public records reviewed by Fox News Digital reveal these same individuals combined have donated thousands of dollars to the Democratic Party.

The Liberal Washington Post published a report on April 6 titled, “Montana GOP Senate candidate says he lied to ranger about gunshot wound in 2015.”
Breaking news: Tim Sheehy was cited for illegally discharging a weapon in a national park but says he made up the gunshot to cover up a bullet wound he received as a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan that he never reported to superiors. https://t.co/w1ZfqneJPt

Sheehy is firing back against the smear attack by the Washington Post. On Wednesday, he wrote:
The smear artists @washingtonpost are writing yet another hit piece attacking me for serving my country—even asking questions about my medical history and demanding my personal records. I’m done playing the liberal media’s game—here’s how DC “reporters” treat veterans.
And get this—after sending my campaign a 1000+ word email trying to discredit every aspect of my service, then they only give you 24 hours to respond. It’s a joke. Everyone knows they would NEVER question a decorated combat veteran if they were a Democrat.

I was PROUD to serve with so many brave men and women who put their lives on the line for our country. @jontester and Chuck Schumer should immediately denounce these disgusting attacks & @isaacstanbecker should look forward to getting to know my lawyers.
The press is even raising questions about my Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor. I was there when we were under fire from the enemy, and I led the rescue operations in total disregard for my own safety because it was the right thing to do. I was there for the IED blast. Now the @washingtonpost is trying to twist it into “stolen valor!?”

Conservative filmmaker and former congressional candidate Robby Starbuck responded to Sheehy, and shared a photo of Isaac Stanley-Becker, one of the authors of the Washington Post’s smear campaign.
(NOTE: Stanley-Becker, a far-left liberal, is also author of a book titled, “Europe Without Borders,” which he touts as “a history of free movement, migration, and the contested status of borders in modern Europe.”)
This is the guy at Washington post trying to smear your brave service. He’d be in the fetal position if he faced 1% of what you faced on deployment. Insane that anyone listens to these far left activists.

The Liberal Washington Post doubled down with another report on Friday, April 12, titled, “GOP Senate candidate in Montana builds campaign on once-secret Navy exploits.”
Tim Sheehy, who has offered inconsistent accounts of his war wounds, was a well-respected Navy SEAL. Now he’s benefiting from the elite force’s star power. https://t.co/DJd1bnkJ6d

Sheehy fired back once again on Saturday:
Here are the “experts” the liberal smear machine @washingtonpost relied on to tear down my military service all to boost @jontester’s re-election…
VanLandingham has made multiple donations to ActBlue and Hillary for America, records show. Additionally, she called Trump a “terrorist recruiting poster child.”
VanLandingham shared a USA Today op-ed in 2021 from David Rothkopf, a vocal Biden supporter who has called Trump a “greater” threat to the United States than al-Qaeda.

Sakran previously worked as a Democrat staffer for Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan, and has contributed to Democrats up and down the ballot, including at least $21,000 to groups such as the Hillary Clinton Victory Fund, Hillary for America, the Democratic National Committee (Democratic National Committee), and Biden for President. Sakran’s website calls him a “nationally recognized activist coalition builder.”
These are the same people who pushed the Democrats’ Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, and they knew exactly what they were doing here—this hit piece was all orchestrated by Jon Tester, Chuck Schumer, and the DC liberal media.

Below is a video ad Sheehy released on March 20, along with the following statement:
I’m pretty tired of hearing career politicians talk about how they’re going to “fight” for America. I think they’re full of it.
I actually know what it means to fight for America and put your life on the line for this country. Leadership, sacrifice, and duty matter.
WATCH BELOW. Then, if you’re a Montana resident, VOTE FOR TIM SHEEHY FOR U.S. SENATE in November.
