The so-called mainstream are desperate to maintain their role as gatekeepers.
They are willing to destroy the reputations of independent voices.
And a sports owner made one shocking revelation about a media attack on Joe Rogan.
Comedian and UFC Commentator Joe Rogan has become the most popular podcast host in the world.
That is a big problem for corporate-controlled media outlets because they cannot dictate to Rogan what he says on his show.
Independent voices
For example, Rogan had on doctors who were skeptical of the COVID vaccine during the pandemic.
The Left attempted to cancel Rogan over a bogus scandal because of resurfaced clips where he used the N-word; it was not in a racist context, but that did not matter to the censors who wanted to shut him up.
Nevertheless, Rogan apologized.
There was pressure to have Rogan removed from his role of commentating on UFC fights, but UFC Founder Dana White was not having any of it.
During a conversation with Tech Entrepreneur and Podcaster Lex Fridman, White revealed that he was willing to walk away from UFC if Rogan was “canceled.”
Fridman said to White, “I remember there was a moment not too long ago, maybe a year ago and I was sitting with Joe [Rogan] and he was in a phone call with you. . .And Joe was getting canceled for something and they didn’t want him commentating the fights and you on the phone offered your resignation over this.”
White not backing down
White responded, “Anybody who is with me, has been with me, knows. . .When you’re with me, you’re with me. It’s a two-way street. It’s not a one-way street. I’m not one of these guys that is gonna roll over. . .This motherf***er will burn, burn before I would do that to my people.”
White has developed a reputation for allowing his UFC fighters to say whatever they want.
Many of them have made statements that rankle the Left, but White has never reined them in.
White continued, “I can’t say what’s gonna happen when I leave, but when I’m here, the people who are with me and have been with me, they know exactly what’s up, and Joe knows what’s up.”
He added, “It’s a two-way street. Joe Rogan has been very loyal to me, and I am very loyal to Joe Rogan.”
Despite multiple cancelation attempts, Rogan is going stronger than ever on his podcast.
As of his renewed deal earlier this year, his podcast is no longer exclusive to Spotify and is available on other platforms.
