President Biden faced interruption from pro-Palestinian demonstrators during a speech in North Carolina on Tuesday, where he ultimately acknowledged their concerns regarding healthcare in Gaza.
While addressing healthcare in Raleigh, North Carolina, Biden was interrupted by a member of the audience shouting, “What about the health care in Gaza?”

In response, Biden emphasized the importance of healthcare for all, stating, “Everybody deserves health care. Be patient with them.”
Despite continued off-camera protests, Biden acknowledged the validity of the demonstrators’ point, stating,
“They have a point, we need to get a lot more care into Gaza.” He then redirected the conversation back to the topic at hand, highlighting changes in healthcare coverage, including the protection of young adults under their parents’ insurance until the age of 26.
President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden have faced heckling in the past year over the situation in Gaza, with critics accusing the administration of supporting actions deemed as harmful to Palestinians.
This comes amid criticism within Biden’s own party regarding his stance on Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
“Biden has faced numerous anti-war protests at his events since the Israel-Hamas war began Oct. 7, and especially as calls have grown for his administration to take stronger action on the civilian death toll in Gaza,” NBC News reported.
“After Biden was interrupted about a dozen times during a January abortion rights speech, his team worked to minimize disruptions by making his events smaller and withholding their precise locations longer than usual.

Tensions between the Biden administration and Israeli leadership have escalated, with Israel canceling a planned visit to the United States following the U.S.’s decision not to veto a United Nations resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Recent polling indicates a significant divide within the Democratic Party on the Israel-Palestine issue, with a growing percentage of voters supporting the Palestinian side of the conflict. There has been a decrease in approval of Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict, particularly among Democratic voters.
