As Russia recently entered the fourth month of its invasion of neighboring Ukraine, Vladimir Putin continues to take key losses even as his massive armies continue their bombardment of Ukrainian targets.
According to the Washington Examiner, Maj. Gen. Roman Kutuzov, a top Russian general in Putin’s powerful army, was reportedly killed in action this week, according to Russian state media. The Russian Defense Ministry hasn’t yet commented on the general’s death.
Details including the location of Kutuzov’s final moments, or how his life was ended, specifically, were also not provided.

Recently, the front lines of Putin’s war in Ukraine had shifted back to the eastern section of the country, where many believed the war would be limited to in the first place.
But also in recent days, Russia set its sights back on the capital city of Kyiv, launching several rounds of precision strikes in the populous city, which had begun a return to some sense of normalcy over the past month or so.
Energoatom, Ukraine’s state nuclear power company, commented on Russia’s latest strikes in Kyiv, noting one particular strike that brought missiles exceedingly close to a nuclear power plant.
“The Russians still do not understand that even the slightest fragment of a rocket that enters a working power unit can cause a nuclear catastrophe,” a statement from the company read. Early on during the invasion, fears were heightened after Russian forces temporarily took over a nuclear facility in Ukraine, which happens to be the largest of its kind in all of Europe.
