The liberal media may be downright giddy over the Democratic Party’s dog and pony production coming up on Thursday, but Fox News Channel has other plans.
Fox News, which dominates the cable news ratings, announce that it will not carry the primetime hearing of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s politically motivated Jan. 6 House select committee, opting to go with it’s usual line up instead.
Most major networks are expected to cover the hearing during regular scheduled programming, but Fox News’ primetime hosts — Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham — will cut in if warranted, the network said. Fox News hosts Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum will anchor live coverage of the proceedings on Fox Business Network. The hearing will be carried without interruption on Fox News Digital, Fox News Audio and Fox Nation.
“Gutfeld,” which airs at 11 p.m., will be preempted, and Shannon Bream “will anchor a two-hour live special” on Fox News @ Night. The network also said live coverage will be “offered to FOX broadcast affiliates across any of their platforms.”
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson did promise viewers Monday night that he will address a lot of unanswered questions about the protest at the U.S. Capitol on Thursday while noting that Team Pelosi hired former ABC News executive James Goldston to help them showcase their efforts.
“How grotesque a joke is the January 6 committee?” Carlson asked. “Well, RINO Liz Cheney and Nancy Pelosi have hired the producer from Good Morning America, not to do a prostate health update, but to put together a primetime show trial this Thursday.”
“There are a lot of questions unanswered from January 6th,” he added. “A lot. We’ll tell them to you at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.”
Fake News CNN chief media correspondent Eunuch Brian Stelter threw a hissy over Fox News’ decision, questioning the network’s priorities in not furthering the Democratic Party’s agenda.
Fox’s top news anchors will be moved over to the Fox Business Network, and they will cover the hearing there. At 8pm ET on an ordinary night, Fox News has more than 3 million viewers, while Fox Business has under 100,000. That pretty much says it all about Fox’s priorities.

He also gave lift to a tweet from one of the two Pelosi Republicans on the committee, outgoing U.S. Rep. Adam 'Cry-Baby' Kinzinger, R-Ill. Somewhat hilariously, the Trump-hating lawmaker talked about “credibility” to call on journalists at Fox News “to speak out, or quit. Enough is enough.”
Of course, Stelter and 'Cry-Baby' Kinzinger both know that left to Fake News CNN and Fake News MSNBC alone, few Americans will see a show trial that’s arguable more about impacting the November midterm elections and beyond than it is about investigating a protest that got a little out of hand.
