FNC: Border ‘czar’ VP Harris ‘AWOL’ as massive migrant caravan approaches

Fox News just joined those who are calling Vice President Cackling Kamala Harris out for going “AWOL” as what is being called possibly the largest migrant caravan ever is heading for the U.S.-Mexico border.  

Harris, whom critics have been referring to as the “border czar,” has been tasked by President Brain-Dead Biden with addressing the southern border crisis. Harris, though, instead, has focused on the so-called “root causes” of the border crisis, a strategy that clearly is not proving effective.

Reports indicate that in May there were over 220,000 migrant apprehensions by Border Patrol agents at the U.S.-Mexico border. One would have to go back to the Clinton era to find a number like that.

On top of this, currently, there are reports of a caravan of roughly 10,000 migrants heading through Mexico to the United States. Fox reports that it “could be the largest ever migrant caravan.” The outlet interviewed migrants in the caravan who made it clear that they were motivated by the Biden administration’s open border policies.

Where’s the border czar?

It is amidst this background that the co-hosts of the Fox News Channel’s The Five asked where border czar Harris is.

Judge Jeanine Pirro, in particular, really tore into Harris arguing that Harris’s lack of action at the southern border is really a result of the vice president’s laziness.

Pirro said:

Look here’s the thing. You’d think the woman as a prosecutor would understand that if our money is going to corrupt governments in Central America, and she’s been tasked with the idea of finding out what the root causes of immigration are, that she would do exactly what you’re talking about Jesse. That is common sense. But this woman is lazy. She is a lazy human being. She doesn’t want to focus her message, she doesn’t want to get out there. 

Pirro added:

I mean the woman is… She’s more than a laughingstock. She’s more than someone who is inept. She is lazy. She doesn’t deserve a job. She should just resign. She’s not doing anything.

Harris to the rescue?

Harris clearly heard the criticism, and now she is going to attempt to respond to it. NBC News just published a report claiming that Harris will “tackle” the illegal immigration surge during the upcoming Summit of the Americas.

What’s Harris’s plan? According to NBC, it is to give more money – $1.9 billion in private sector funds – to northern Central American governments. That’s in addition to the $1.3 billion that has already been provided.

It’s the typical Democrat solution to any problem – throw more money at it. Only, it never works.

The first $1.3 billion didn’t work, and there is no reason why this additional $1.9 billion is going to be any different.
