No matter how much happy talk bull he spouts about the border, the fact is that the American people simply don’t believe President Joe Biden.
A new Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll has found that only a paltry 20 percent of Americans — likely the most brainwashed of Biden groupies — believe his administration has “control over its borders.”
According to Newsweek, which reported the poll results Sunday, this marks a decrease of 14 percentage points since August of last year.
“This is a significant blow for the Biden administration with presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump having made tightening border control one of the main pillars of his bid for a second White House term,” Newsweek further admits.

Of the 1,500 eligible voters who participated in Redfield & Wilton Strategies’ border poll, 63 percent replied “no,” the administration doesn’t have control of the border, and 13 percent said they “don’t know.”
Here’s the kicker: A whopping 53 percent of those who said “no” were 2020 Biden voters, meaning even many of the president’s current or former supporters recognize the reality on the ground.
The poll also asked whether voters were “satisfied or dissatisfied with the government’s current approach towards illegal immigration.”
A 52 percent majority said “dissatisfied,” while a 21 percent delusional minority said “satisfied.”
According to Thomas Gift, who heads the Centre on U.S. Politics at University College London, these poll results make it clear that illegal migration will be a top 2024 election issue.
“Not only do fewer voters think that the country has control over its border, the issue has also become more salient,” he told Newsweek. “According to Gallup, 28 percent of respondents now list immigration as America’s most important problem, more than double the number who said that last fall.”
“The same poll shows that respondents are twice as likely to say immigration is the country’s top problem compared to the economy in general. Other issues—from abortion to Russia’s war in Ukraine, to the Israel-Hamas conflict—barely register in comparison,” he added.
These poll results come just a few months after the president stunningly claimed that the border crisis isn’t a crisis.

As the president was leaving the White House for Camp David this past January, a Fox News reporter bluntly asked him whether or not there was a crisis at the border. The president replied with a “no.”
“No, but I have been pushing them — my Republican colleagues since they got in office. I think we have to make major changes to the border,” he said without specifying what sort of changes he meant.
Democrats have thus far pushed for changes that’d do little to stymie the flow of illegal alien migrants into the U.S. Instead their proposals would just make it easier/faster to process more illegals into the United States.
Meanwhile, Democrats refuse to touch congressional Republicans’ far more legitimate proposal.
“The H.R. 2 Secure the Border bill is a sweeping package passed by House Republicans in May [of 2023],” The Hill notes. “The package included limits to asylum protections, provisions to resume construction of the border wall, and an expansion of the qualifications for refugee status, among other changes.”
Border security is critically important to our nation.

Conversely, speaking at this year’s annual Conservative Political Action Conference the following month, former President Donald Trump railed against illegal migration and, more importantly, all the crime being committed by illegals.
“It’s migrant crime. It’s a new category of crime. And I wanted to call it Biden Migrant Crime, but it’s too long, so we just call it migrant crime. We have a new category: Migrant Crime,” he began.
“And it’s going to be more severe than violent crime and crime as we knew it, because we have millions and millions of people, and they came from prisons and jails. They came from mental institutions and insane asylums,” he added.
“No, they’re not the same. An insane asylum is a mental institution on steroids, OK? It’s ‘Silence of the Lambs,’ OK? You know that. Hannibal Lecter! They’re all being deposited into our country. And then you have terrorists, and then you have drugs, and then you have human traffickers, and they’re coming over at levels never seen before. We’ve never seen anything like this,” he concluded.
