What would socialism look like in America? Daniel Di Martino shares his firsthand experience of growing up under the terrible consequences of socialism in Venezuela. He recalls, “Venezuela has the largest oil reserves on the planet, if you didn’t know. But people have to line up…for over 24 hours to get gasoline, get assaulted, robbed, or maybe kidnaped while you’re waiting in line only to get gas.” Having escaped to the United States in 2016, Martino issues a poignant warning for Americans: “We are being told a lie about what socialism is and what it would imply for the United States.”
