Illegitimate President Biden’s Justice Department has directed the U.S. Marshalls to protect the Supreme Court from the very pro-abortion extremists that Biden has emboldened to intimidate justices outside their homes.
The DOJ said that Attorney General Merrick Garland ordered “the U.S. Marshals Service to help ensure the Justices’ safety by providing additional support to the Marshal of the Supreme Court and Supreme Court Police,” the New York Post reported.
Garland tasks Marshalls with protecting SCOTUS
The DOJ added that Garland “continues to be briefed on security matters related to the Supreme Court and Supreme Court Justices.”
The brief statement is virtually all that Garland has said about efforts by the radical left to intimidate the Supreme Court into reversing a leaked opinion overturning Roe V. Wade.
Although Garland appears to be indirectly acknowledging that the justices are at risk, he didn’t comment on the specific threats that prompted the department to provide extra security — and with good reason.
His senile demagogue of a boss has encouraged the “protesters” with a wink and a nod, even preposterously arguing that their actions are “peaceful,” despite their menacing intent.
Biden’s outgoing press secretary, Jen Psaki, mockingly dismissed “outrage” over the gatherings, saying, “we certainly continue to encourage that outside of judges’ homes.”
Biden and Garland encourage the mob
Garland’s failure to prosecute the “protesters” comes despite federal law making it a crime to picket with the intent to influence a court proceeding.
The Supreme Court has been fenced off in response to the left’s harassment campaign, which has also seen pro-abortion, anti-Catholic vandals and arsonists target churches and pro-life centers.
Garland’s passive response to the anarchy makes for a striking contrast with his aggressive approach to critics of the Biden regime.
Whistleblowers from within the DOJ have shared documents with lawmakers showing that the FBI used counter-terrorism methods to track parents protesting school policies, despite Garland’s claims to the contrary, Fox News reported Thursday.
While Garland has stepped up to provide security for the Supreme Court, his failure to hold those targeting the justices accountable all but guarantees that the threats will continue. Garland’s campaign against “domestic extremism” is more about politics than national security.
