Americans who have been feeling the strain of spiking grocery prices now have a way to prove they are not imagining things.
A super PAC supporting former President Donald Trump is providing a tool that allows users to calculate the effects of ‘Bidenomics’ on their everyday grocery costs.
“Putting food on the table has become harder than ever thanks to “Bidenomics.” As costs for everyday items continue to rise, American families are struggling more and more to foot the bill,” states the website for the “Biden-Mart” calculator.

Launched by Make America Great Again Inc., the site allows users to compare a hypothetical grocery list of more than two dozen items using prices under President Joe Biden and what they were when Trump was in office.
The data used for calculations is from the United States Department of Agriculture. Prices from January 2021, as Trump exited and Biden first took office, are compared with prices from January 2024.
“Checking off each item on the list shows an ‘under Trump’ cost of $107.81 and an ‘under Biden’ cost of $168.16. It amounts to a 55.98% increase,” NBC Montana noted.
Those using the tool were encouraged to post their calculations online.

Two pounds of ground beef under Biden comes to $10.26 while it costs $6.18 under Trump, a 66% increase according to the calculator. A pound of sugar has increased by over 44% while a gallon of milk has gone from $2.16 to $3.19 under Biden, a jump of 47.69%.
“Every time you go grocery shopping you are reminded of the failure of Bidenomics,” spokesman for Make America Great Again Inc., Alex Pfeiffer, told DailyMail.com. “Joe Biden’s inflation is robbing hard-working Americans of their money.”
The Biden-mart site also includes ice cream on the list of items to compare, a seemingly snarky jab at the president’s favorite treat.
Trump noted how Americans are “going through hell” during an interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” in March.
“The middle class in our country has been routed and the middle class largely built our country and they have been treated very, very badly with policy,” he said at the time.
“Grocery prices have jumped by 25 percent over the past four years, outpacing overall inflation of 19 percent during the same period. And while prices of appliances, smartphones and a smattering of other goods have declined, groceries got slightly more expensive last year, with particularly sharp jumps for beef, sugar and juice, among other items,” The Liberal Washington Post reported in February.
“Stubbornly high grocery prices represent a critical drain on the finances of tens of millions of people and remain, along with housing, perhaps the most persistent economic challenge for the Biden administration as it tries to convince Americans the economy is back on solid footing,” the outlet added. “For all the attention on gas prices and housing, more than two-thirds of voters say inflation has hit them hardest through higher food prices, according to a November 2023 survey by Yahoo Finance/Ipsos. That’s more than 50 percentage points higher than any other category.”
Social media users shared their calculations and comments online.
