The White House has a serious shortage of flagpoles. President Donald Trump is patriotically setting that oversight straight, at his own personal expense. He’s having two 100-foot models installed specifically to have each “proudly displaying a pristine American flag.” Just wait until you see what he has in store for next year’s Independence Day celebration.
Two White House flagpoles
President Donald Trump announced plans on Wednesday, April 23, to “erect two striking 100-foot flagpoles on the White House grounds, each proudly displaying a pristine American flag.”
We all know how much the president adores Old Glory.
He’s doing his part to keep America patriotically beautiful. They’ll be putting up “beautiful” American flags and “the two flagpoles will be top of the line.”
Trump took time Wednesday afternoon to tour the North Lawn with Chief Groundskeeper Dale Haney. That’s when the president “informed reporters of the forthcoming flag additions.”
They’re long overdue, the president relates. “They’ve needed flagpoles for 200 years. It was something I’ve often said. You know, they don’t have a flagpole, per se.”
“So we’re putting one right where you saw us, and we’re putting another one on the side on top of the mounds. It’s going to be two beautiful poles.”
Arrive in a week
Trump annoyed liberal reporters but assuring them that the flagpoles will be “paid for by” him. He’s expecting “that they should arrive at the White House in about a week.”
He’s got a lot of planning to do in the next 436 days. President Trump is so excited about celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial next year that he’s got a countdown timer to the event posted on the White House website.
July 4th Independence Day celebrates the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 2026 marks “the 250th anniversary of the United States, often referred to as the Semiquincentennial.”
President Trump plans to “celebrate the most important milestone in our country’s history” with a huge bash. There will be flags and flagpoles everywhere.
“Under the President’s leadership, the Salute to America 250 Task Force has commenced the planning of a full year of festivities to officially launch on Memorial Day, 2025 and continue through July 4th, 2026.”
The new flagpoles should be in and ready long before Memorial day. Democrat media doesn’t like to talk about it but “the White House is engaging and encouraging the entire federal government, state and local governments, the private sector, non-profit and educational institutions, and every citizen across this country to join in this historic celebration.“
