President Donald Trump’s recollection of a moment between him and the head coach of the New York Giants is being denied by the team.
The team joined Trump at the White House to commemorate their Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs in February, resulting in some hilarious and heartwarming moments. During the festivities, Trump recalled a conversation he had with the New York Giants’ head coach back when running back Saquon Barkley was with the team. He reportedly told the coach to make sure not to let Barkley leave the team.

“Six-time” Pro Bowl[er]. That’s pretty good,” Trump said.“And by the way, I have to tell you something. I was with the Giants and the head coach, and some people. And I said, ‘Do anything you have to, but don’t lose Saquon.’ They lost Saquon.”
Trump went on to claim that he saw the move coming.
“That was not good. I called that one. That was an easy one to call because he played damn well for the Giants, I can tell you that. But he made the right decision because it is a team sport, and he has great people on this team.”
But just hours after the humorous story, the Giants reportedly denied that it ever happened. According to Front Line Sports, Giants spokesperson Pat Hanlon said, “There were no conversations” between the president and the team regarding Barkley.
Hanlon then pointed the outlet to a personal X post he made complaining about Trump “yapping” instead of doing something about his 401K.
With all due respect, stop yapping. Be the leader we all want you to be. And my 401K wants you to be. I’m trying to retire!! @realDonaldTrump

As BizPac Review previously posted, Barkley and his teammate Eli Ricks thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the White House, with Ricks even swooning over Ivanka Trump.
