“F*ck Off”: Ilhan Omar’s Vulgar Defense of an MS-13 Gang Member Exposes the Soul of the Democratic Party

Displaying the true classless nature of what the Democratic Party has become, Minnesota Rep. and “Squad” member Ilhan Omar told a Daily Caller News Foundation reporter named Myles Morell on Thursday to “f*ck off” when she was asked about support for deported gangbanger Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged MS-13 member.

Garcia, who is from El Salvador, is also a wife-beater and an accused human trafficker. According to court documents, he bragged that he could kill her and get away with it. But that doesn’t matter… the Democrats are far more in love with violent criminals than they are with their victims these days.

A “Squad” Member Shows Her True Self

Morell asked Omar a pretty straightforward, standard question about whether Democrats should be traveling to El Salvador to advocate for the gangbanger’s release. Garcia was deported by President Trump, and ever since then, the Left has been screaming for his return.

Instead of saying, “No comment,” or simply staying mum, Omar unsurprisingly told the reporter to “f*ck off.”

“Do you think more of your Democratic colleagues should be traveling to El Salvador to advocate on behalf of Abrego Garcia?” Morell asked her as they were walking.

“I think you should f*ck off,” Omar crudely suggested.

“I’m sorry, what, congresswoman?” Morell asked, not quite believing what he had just been instructed to do by the congresswoman.

“You should f*ck off,” Omar emphasized. 

“Who should?” Morell asked. She shot back, “You.”

“Why me?” he asked her as she walked away. One of Omar’s staffers then handed him a card, saying, “We’re not taking any questions right now, but here you go,” according to Fox News.

“Today I tried to ask @Ilhan a question on behalf of The @DailyCaller News Foundation and she told me to “F**k off” twice,” Morell wrote in an X post.

For good measure, Omar doubled down on social media.

“I said what I said, You and your miserable trolls can f*ck off,” she proclaimed on X obviously referring to not only the reporter, but Republicans and conservatives in general.

Morell remarked on Thursday that he found Omar’s conduct unprofessional and rude, pointing out that he was asking other Democrats the same question and that he was just doing his job. 

Omar Defends the Leftist Press

The hypocrisy is deep with this one. Omar has previously spoken out against those who try to intimidate and/or silence the press. I guess she only meant the legacy media.

In a 2020 statement advocating for press freedom in Somalia — her country of origin — Omar stated, “In my work as a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and as a Member of Congress, protecting the right to press freedom has been absolutely central to my policies and beliefs.”

She continued, “Whether it is demanding accountability for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, advocating for the release of imprisoned journalists, or insisting on the right of the press to cover domestic issues without intimidation here at home, I make no exceptions in my view that a free press is fundamental to an open, democratic society.”

Four Democratic representatives, along with Democratic Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen, traveled to El Salvador to show support for Garcia and protest against the Trump administration. Police records and court documents indicate that Garcia smuggled people into the U.S., had a good standing with MS-13 and physically abused his wife.

In 2019, an immigration judge issued a deportation order for Garcia, who illegally entered the U.S. in 2011 from El Salvador, according to court documents. A judge gave Garcia a protected status known as “withholding of removal” in October 2019 after determining that he would likely be persecuted by gangs if deported back to El Salvador.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller made it perfectly clear that Garcia no longer enjoys protected status because the president has designated Tren de Aragua (TdA), MS-13, and other gang organizations as foreign domestic terrorist organizations.

Following some officials admitting that Garcia’s deportation was a clerical error, the Supreme Court ordered that they “facilitate” the return of Garcia in an April 10 ruling.

El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele told leftists on April 14 to pound sand and that he will not “smuggle” Garcia back into the U.S.

Last Tuesday, Trump commented to ABC News that he “could” secure Garcia’s return from El Salvador. I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were a Democrat on that one.

Four House Democrats and one Senate Democrat, Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, have trekked to El Salvador to visit Garcia and are portraying him as an innocent father and husband who was swept up in the Trump administration’s lawless deportations. Nothing could be further from the truth, and worse yet, they know it.

If by some miracle, the gangbanger does return to the US, Trump officials have vowed he will be immediately deported once again.

Social Media Hammers Omar

The backlash to Omar’s profanity, disgusting behavior, and rudeness was swift and massive.

“If another member, perhaps Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene [R-Ga.], reacted this way to legacy media, I’m guessing the rest of the press corps would be up in arms,” RealClearPolitics reporter Phillip Wegmann remarked on X.

“Going out on a limb to suggest that the mainstream press might care about this if this were a Republican repeatedly shouting obscenities at a reporter. Any thoughts from our stalwart journalistic class?” RedState writer Bonchie wrote on X.

“This is an unhinged response to an entirely fair question,” Washington Free Beacon reporter Chuck Ross stated. “I think part of it is that Democrats are not used to being asked non-softball questions by Capitol Hill reporters.”

“Ilhan Omar just told a Daily Caller video reporter to ‘f**k off’ when he attempted to ask her a simple question about Kilmer Abrego Garcia. This woman has no class, no gratitude to America, and no honor. Truly a disgrace to the US Congress,” Charlie Kirk asserted.

“Trump has said a lot of things to reporters but I don’t recall ‘F*ck Off’ being one. Hats off to Ilhan Omar for a new low,” host Jillian Michaels said on X.

The blasting of Omar went on and on as the video went viral, and with good reason.

The “Squad” member cannot debate the facts or tell the truth, so instead, she uses profanity to make a splash and show her contempt and hatred for those on the Right. It’s the Democratic way these days.
