Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said Tuesday that 75% of the individuals Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have arrested were convicted criminals.
“I’d love to remind the American people in the legacy media that actually 75% of ICE arrests in the last 100 days under President Donald Trump have been of convicted criminal, illegal aliens,” McLaughlin said on the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show.
She said the Trump administration was getting the “worst of the worst” out of the country.
Last week, anti-ICE riots broke out across Los Angeles after immigration raids took place, resulting in Trump having to call in the National Guard.
Trump on Sunday doubled down on his stance and ordered ICE to use all its resources to deliver the “single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”
McLaughlin criticized the media for biased coverage of the ICE raids.
